Rob Mac Music

I Would Do Anything (Live @ The Acoustic Club)

Here is another recording from my gig two weeks ago. This is my newest track I’ve written and finished so I hope you enjoy. I played at the Acoustic Club last Thursday again so I’ll also upload the other recordings shortly.

Please like, reblog and let me know what you think. It’s lovely to hear everyone’s thoughts, good or bad.

Have a great weekend,

 Rob

Last Thursday I played at The Acoustic Club, Bishop’s Stortford. As always I got a recording and it’s here for you to check out if you couldn’t pop down to the gig.

If you want to hear more from The Acoustic Club you can download a 4 track EP for FREE from Bandcamp

If you visit that page it also has the lyrics for the four songs I have previously performed there so feel free to check it out.

For those of you that don’t ‘like’ my Facebook page you wouldn’t have seen this. (you can this by clicking the like button on the right hand side of this page.)

If you do ‘Like’ my Facebook page, thanks :)

This song is a song that I’ve had in the works for quite a while and is extremely close to my heart as it’s about my Grandma having dementia. It’s titled ‘Never Forget.’

Mol and I went for a bike ride around my ends today. We found a huge hay bail and thought we’d pose on it :) Also is a map of our bike ride. It was really fun and we cycled 7 miles in total. The bikes I have at my house are definitely in need of improvement so I thought we did okay. If I have no work tomorrow then perhaps we’ll go out again.

The pointless police stop

I’ve just got in from at 10 hour shift at Fedex (3pm to 1am) and after offering to drop off a guy in town I was stopped by the police after dropping the colleague at his house. I was ‘illegally’ parked on some double yellows and also my bumper was over the end of a zebra crossing marking. I was pulled over. Indicator on and lights on low beams.

The reason I find this ridiculous, although as the law stands, I was breaking it, was that at 1.30am they pulled up behind me and wasted 10 minutes threatening to give me a £60 fine and 3 points saying that I was lucky to only get a verbal caution. At 1.30am I would hope that the local police force, which I’m sure is understaffed anyway, is at hand to stop people getting in fights and sorting out all the drunk people who I saw when driving through town, not talking to me about the danger on parking on double yellows.

Rant over. No fine nothing for me. I say again, as the law states I was breaking the law. I’m not denying that I was in the wrong. I totally was, I just feel at the time and on a Saturday night, the police should get their priorities in order.

Audio - Heal The Heartache

I’m pretty sure I haven’t posted any of my music as of yet on Tumblr so I though I would give you guys an idea of what sorta stuff I do. This track is called Heal The Heartache.

Heal The Heartache by robowenmac

I’d be really grateful if people re-blogged this if they like it. Atm I’ve only got 30 followers and I’m sure the majority of people have heard my stuff anyway. Let me know what you think either way. Hell do it anonymously via ask if you must.

Cazfest 2010

Yesterday was the second year of Cazfest, a festival that is held in the memory of Caroline Johnstone and for the benefit of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Youth). The day included local talent as well as chart toppers, Lemar and Tinchy Stryder. The atmosphere was fantastic although it never seemed busy. Hopefully the event pulled in massive profits for CRY but whether they made £1 or £10000 it was all in a great cause and a great celebration of Caroline Johnstone.

For more details about the event please visit http://www.cazfest.com/

University finished - Back to Stortford

As the title suggests, I’ve finished university, actually I finished a few weeks ago but officially my course finished on the 18th of June. I’m pretty sure I know what I’m getting which I’m not too happy about but I can honestly say that I’ve done my best and I feel that I couldn’t have worked that much harder. So now that university has finished I’ve left Bath and I’m now back in my hometown, Bishop’s Stortford. I’ve spent the past 3 hours unpacking stuff and sorting my room out and trying to finally make my bedroom, mine. (It was re-decorated when I was at university and I feel I haven’t fully moved in yet.) So my first night in town means that I’m off to the pub with some close friends. I’m going to try and do a few gigs locally as well as get a job within the next few days so I’ll keep you posted.
