I’ve been at Mol’s the past week and I finally got round to recording a song I’ve been repeatedly listening to since the beginning of the year, it’s a track called Unaware by Allen Stone.
As always, if you like this video please rate/comment/share and re-blog I’ll love you that little bit more.

Here is the video of Rob Mac’s song Why Didn’t You Tell Me? This is a debut performance of his brand new song filmed on the Canon 500d. This was the second take as the first was shot on the 55-250mm lens and proved to be very loud when focusing. Whilst I’m still in love with this camera, it is very loud in video mode. My next move will be to buy an external audio recording piece of equipment to eliminate camera noise. Nevertheless, I loved filming and editing this footage, hope you do too.
Here is the video that Molly talked about earlier. The footage is great and what she’s done editing wise looks fantastic too.
Acoustic Bed Sessions
Yesterday I was lucky enough to capture some footage of Rob Mac performing a new song, Why Didn’t You Tell Me? I’m just getting the video finished up and uploaded, meanwhile here are some stills from the shoot.
From what I saw of the edited footage, it looks DOPE! I can’t wait to see what Molly has done with it.
Original Track - Closer To You
This is another original track that has recently been recorded. It’s called Closer To You. If you missed my previous post you can hear the other track here
Song writing
Following the quote I just posted, I though I would accompany it by a bit of info on why I liked this quote so much.
First of all, this past year I’ve started to listen to James Taylor quite a lot after hearing him coming out of Molly’s laptop speakers from time to time and liking what I heard.
Secondly, I’ve just graduated, to become a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music from Bath Spa University and one of my modules was song writing.
While I can say that I have definitely become a better song writer I also feel that the course, especially the final year was definitely not worth the money. The course leader being so opinionated and extremely unhelpful, changing the submission times and dates without communicating the changes with students until the last few weeks. Over all the professionalism from him over the year was virtually non-existent. What makes it even worse was that 10% of my grade was on professional conduct, which make his actions even more laughable. No more details on that as I don’t want to sound like a ranting student too much, but like I said, I do feel that I am writing the best stuff I’ve written…EVER.
Hopefully I’ll get some more inspiration before I go travelling as I’m trying to get some material together and finished before I go travelling and then when I come back I can record those songs and the new stuff that I hopefully write on my travels and make a proper go at it in London.
Finally if anyone has any thoughts on Song writing or ways they get inspiration let me know?
All his videos make me laugh so much. Dude is too cool!
An absolute Sunday afternoon delicacy. Aloe Blacc performs I Need A Dollar off his forthcoming album Good Things due for release later this year. Also, check out the great official video
I first heard Aloe about 5 years ago after hearing his cover of ‘A Change Gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke. I also loved his version of ‘Ordinary People’ in Spanish that was a bonus track on his album. I prefer this track to a lot of his older album as it seems more focused on where it wants to go. It’s also more my sorta thing. Great find by Moo!
The tracklisting for John Legend and The Roots’s new album has been released and I’m excited already. I’ll be in Thailand when it’s released on the 21st of September but I’ll try and get my hands on a copy somewhere when I’m in Asia.

Recommend Tuesdays
It’s Tuesday which means that recommendations are open for people favourite blogs. I would be extremely grateful if anyone that enjoys this and reads it would recommend me by clicking here
This is a sneaky peek at some of the footage we shot yesterday with the artist Rob Mac. This is behind the scenes in the various locations only from the 500d camera – the videos to come will be a mix of 500d and 550d footage including Matt’s nifty lens. Enjoy, more to come!
A little preview of the video that we were shooting yesterday, courtesy of Molly Case.
