This is nearly a week late and I apologise, but I’ve been really busy and just started a new job/internship.
Arch 365 - South Clapham 09/06/2011
I arrived there early and met Mol, went to Subway to have a bite to eat and then headed to the venue. The bar was directly underneath the railway line so when you were in the bar you could hear the shaking of the rails above, it reminded me a little of Christchurch and the earthquake in February.
There wasn’t much of a crowd to see the music but more so to socialize with their friends and have a few drinks. I thought I played really well, although the sound was bad, a continuing trend at this promoters nights. It’s my third gig in London so far and I’ve enjoyed them all and although not exactly what I expected, you hear so much about the standard of London being so high, that’s rubbish, they’ve been good practice and boosted my confidence. There was one guy at the front who made the whole night worthwhile who was in the zone when I was playing and seemed to dig everything I was about. It’s always worthwhile when that happens.
