It’s been a long time - New Video
So I haven’t been on Tumblr in A LONG time and I don’t really know why but for those of you that care, here’s a cover I did the other week. It’s Bobby Caldwell’s track, ‘What You Won’t Do For Love.’
Fans of 2Pac and Jessie Ware will be familiar with the tracks as both artists have incorporated the fantastic track in one of their songs.

Been digging the track all weekend! Great recommendation from my friend Rob. Listened to Bernhoft’s album on Deezer and it’s all pretty spectacular!

Jamie Lidell is a great act and this is one of my favourite tracks of his, the catchiness of this song is insane. Hope you enjoy and please like, share and subscribe. Your comments mean a lot and please come forth with any suggestions of tracks you’d like me to sing.

I bought Charles Bradley’s album the other day from Amazon the other day and I haven’t been disappointed. I’ve listened to the album all the way through twice a day for the past week, I’ve also watched this video every day too! He has so much soul that I get shivers listening to his voice. In this video I wanted to cry he evokes so much emotion!
You can buy his album here

New Video Alert
Just a quick update to let y’all know that I’m just rendering a new video. It was recorded the same time as my previous video, Closer to you. If you missed it, here it is :)
Now this is a brilliant video to a great song, none of this bullshit Lady Gaga dancing in next to nothing, just a brilliantly shot story to represent the song.
For those who haven’t already bought it, buy Stone Rollin by Raphael Saadiq, it’s too good not to own!
I just searched out of curiosity on Youtube to see if there were any new Aloe Blacc videos since I set off travelling and what I managed to find a treasure chest of videos and this has to be one of the real gems. The way that he busks away from the band is just brilliant and the video has a real nice old school quality about it. His voice, as always is phenomenal but it also makes me think is there any hope for the rest of us if he can only get $2 from busking and sounding that damn good.
The video is long and there is a gap in the middle that you can skip through between the two songs but it’s definitely worth a listen.
New Artist Alert - Smoove and Turrell
I’m thinking of making this new music alert a more prominent thing in my blog, as a musician I am always looking for new music to listen to especially in the genre that I am to perform in.
You dont know-Smoove & Turrell by SMOOVE AND TURRELL
Smoove and Turrell again are based in the North of England and signed to the same label as Dr. Rubberfunk who I blogged about last Friday. John Turrell actually featured on one of the tracks that I posted. Smoove and Turrel are another project that Turrell is involved with and his partner in crime is Smoove. I’ve been on their myspace listening to their tracks and I love their vibe and sound. It’s not as tight as the the Menahan Street Band who I posted about the other day but they are still funky.
